I've chosen to study the 'Rave' subculture because when I was just a little toddler I distinctly remember watching my Mum and all of her friends getting ready to go out to the local clubs and raves in North Wales, where we lived. This is one of the very few pictures of her and her friends dressed up. Taking photo's before and during their nights out wasn't as popular then, without camera phones, facebook, twitter, instagram etc. I also remember a lot of the song she used to listen to that carried the Rave culture during the late 80's to early 90's.
Even though she wasn't partying through the 1987-88 Summer Of Love era I want to focus on it because of the changes in fashion and politics that hugely impacted the party scene now.
